How We Select and Test Our Ingredients
Many expecting moms pay closer attention to what they put on their skin during pregnancy, and so do we. That's why we go to great lengths to select ingredients that are mild, gentle, effective, and suitable for our customers.
We encourage you to read our labels closely. When we say "fragrance-free," we mean no fragrance is used in the formula. We don't mask our products' natural smell with botanicals or other ingredients that could be irritating.
All ingredients are thoroughly investigated before use in our formulations. Databases of safety information such as the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR), Personal Care Products Council (PCPC), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and others are researched. We also consult regularly with highly qualified physicians regarding the use and safety of ingredients.
Gentle Skin and Breast Care During Pregnancy and Nursing
Because our skin care products are formulated without harsh chemicals, they can be a good fit for skin and breast care during pregnancy and while nursing.
Vanicream™ Gentle Body Wash is a fragrance-free, non-soap cleanser that helps remove dirt and oils without drying the skin. It is also formulated without cocamidopropyl betaine and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), which have been known to cause skin irritation. Vanicream™ Moisturizing Cream is mild and gentle and soothes dry, cracked skin.
Gentle Skin Care for Baby
Vanicream™ Moisturizing Cream for Baby and Vanicream™ Foaming Wash for Baby are formulated to be suitable for baby and toddler skin.
