Pharmaceutical Specialties, Inc. (PSI) is a proprietary manufacturer located in Rochester, Minnesota. The company was started in 1975 by two pharmacists who believed they could develop better products for dermatology patients than were on the market. Both pharmacists had extensive experience formulating products for special patient needs. They had worked closely with dermatologists for many years and understood the needs of these specialists and the patients they serve.

Initially, the company's distribution was mainly in the upper midwest. Over the years, the company has experienced steady growth as both physicians and patients have become aware of its products. Today, the company distributes throughout the United States, as well as internationally through our distribution partners in Canada, Taiwan, and the Middle East. The products are sold primarily through community and institutional pharmacies.

The reputation of the company and its products has continued to grow and today the products are recommended by leading dermatologists throughout the country. Major medical institutions and dermatology training centers use and recommend the products for their patients.

The founders continue to manage the firm and to develop and manufacture new products for people who want or need to avoid common chemical irritants found in ordinary products. The focus on producing effective products for patients with problem skin has remained unchanged.
